The PowerCost Monitor™ is compatible with the majority – up to 90% - of power meters in North America. Meters vary regionally and by local utility so check below for your meter here to see if yours is compatible.
Meter Compatibility
The PowerCost Monitor™ works by ‘seeing’ the moving disk or digital meter – which is visible on most meters. The sensor is compatible with most AMR, AMI, “Smart Meters”. The PowerCost Monitor™ is compatible with most circular meters, standard in North America, and also is compatible with analog (electromechanical discs) and digital meters. Essentially if the sensor can “see” the disc or the optical port then high potential for compatibility.

What If I Don’t See My Meter?
Most of the meters in North America are shown above. However, if you do not see you exact meter, or have any questions about the compatibility of your meter, please contact us! Email support@bluelineinnovations.com with a picture of your meter, or call 1-866-607-2583 with your meter type and model.
Distance & Location
The PowerCost Monitor™ is designed for residential application in single unit homes and for ranges of 100 feet or less (depending on number of walls - each wall and/or floor of a house may decrease the ideal range by approximately 10-15 feet). For most houses this does not pose an issue, and moving the receiver/display to the side of the house where the meter is ensures good communication. Apartment Complexes, town/row houses, condominiums and, MDU’s (Multi Dwelling Units) often have meter locations that exceed the 100 foot range specification. Note also that only one sensor can be deployed in an approximate 10 foot radius (you cannot deploy 2+ sensors in same closet or meter bank due to RF interference, but neighboring houses are acceptable).
